ASUU Strike: President Buhari gives the Minister of Education 2weeks Ultimatum

President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu to ensure he puts an end to the incessant ASUU Strike in two weeks.

President Buhari issued this directive on Tuesday 19 July 2022, after being briefed on the state of things as regards the ongoing strike by the relevant ministries, departments and agencies.

It would be recalled that ASUU has been on strike since February 14, putting activities in public Universities on a halt.

Those present at the meeting were the Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu, the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Dr. Zainab Ahmed, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Ngige, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, the Head of Service of the Federation, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan, the Chairman of National Salaries Income and Wages Commission, Ekpo Nta, the Director-General Budget Office, Ben Akabueze.
