History of Isaac Jasper Boro College of Education

The Bayelsa State College of Art and Science was established in 2000 in Agudama-Epie, Yenagoa by the Gov. D.S.P. Alameiseigha administration.

It was later converted to the Bayelsa State College of Education in 2010 and relocated to Okpoama, Brass, Bayelsa State by the Gov. Timipre Sylva administration.

Following the amendment of the law establishing the Bayelsa State College of Education Okpoama on 15th of August 2012, His Excellency, Hon. Henry Seriake Dickson changed the name of the College to Isaac Jasper Boro College of Education and relocated it from Okpoama to Sagbama.
