The fellowships are tenable at the SN Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences in Kolkata, India for studies leading to a doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in the physical sciences for a four-year period with the possibility of extension for another on year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"294\" height=\"171\" src=\"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/TWAS.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10085\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/tag\/postgraduate-fellowships\/\"><strong>Postgraduate Fellowship<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0award will make available monthly stipend to cover living costs and food and free on-campus accommodation. Young foreign scientists are encouraged to grasp the opportunity to be trained in a world-class facility with all the fellowship benefits attached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fellowship Sponsor(s):&nbsp;<\/strong>The World Academy of Science (TWAS) and SN Bose National Centre for Basic Science<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fellowship Location:&nbsp;<\/strong>Kolkata, India<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fellowship level<\/strong>: Young Researchers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fellowship Duration:&nbsp;<\/strong>Four years<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Basic Qualification:<\/strong>&nbsp;Masters<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality:\u00a0<\/strong>Developing countries<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be considered for the TWAS-SN Bose Fellowship for Young Scientists, applicants are to meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must be nationals of a developing country and must not be older than 35 years on 31<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;December of the application year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must hold a masters degree in physics, mathematics or physical chemistry and must have completed at least a five years of undergraduate and postgraduate studies in a recognized university or institute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be nationals of a developing country (other than India)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must not hold any visa for temporary or permanent residency in India or any developed country<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must be accepted into a department of the S.N. Bose National Centre to enrol for a Ph.D programme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must show clear evidence of proficiency in English if medium of education was not English.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must be willing to return to their home country on completion of the fellowship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not take up other assignments during the period of her\/his fellowship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be financially responsible for any accompanying family members.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>Interested applicants for the TWAS-SN Bose Postgraduate Fellowship 2023 are to first&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineforms.twas.org\/apply\/219\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apply online<\/a>&nbsp;for a place at the SN Bose National Centre. Applicants are to submit an Acceptance Letter from a department of the S.N.
