The University\u2019s Entrance Bursary Program offers&nbsp;<strong>entrance bursaries<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;students from low to modest-income families who demonstrate financial need. Those eligible to apply include all:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>newly accepted, first-year, first-degree undergraduates, and<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>newly accepted, first-year undergraduate direct entrants to professional programs in Medicine and Law (with prior degree)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Requirements:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be considered for the Entrance Bursary Program, applicants must:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enrol&nbsp;in a full-time degree&nbsp;program at the University<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate financial need, including the intention to apply for&nbsp;government student aid and\/or Indigenous Band Support Funding&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students registered with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mcgill.ca\/osd\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student Accessibility &amp; Achievement<\/a>\u00a0may be eligible for financial aid while pursuing a reduced course load.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duration and Reward<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Entrance Bursary program is a Need-based financial aid for future undergraduates.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The goal of the program is to make the University more accessible to those who face financial challenges by supplementing other funding resources such as government aid, Indigenous Band Support Funding, part-time work, parental support, and other sources of funding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Decision times<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Decision times:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Award decisions begin in February, and continue thereafter on a rolling basis, 2-3 weeks from the date of application submission and\/or documentation receipt (where required).
