Crayon said he gave up his university education after five attempts to pursue a career in music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Mavin-signed singer said he couldn\u2019t manage music and school as a result of stress. He said he had a conversation with his parents about doing music and his dad persuaded him to attempt UTME for the fifth time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the singer, a music friend named Baby Fresh, whom he met, inspired him to make a \u201cbig sacrifice\u201d for his career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He (Cray) said, \u201cI won\u2019t be able to juggle school and music at the same time because in Nigeria it\u2019s quite stressful.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI sat my parents down. I was like, \u2018Mum and Dad, I want to make music.\u2019 I said I feel like that\u2019s what my heart is going for. My dad said just try this fifth one, if it doesn\u2019t work out, you can go ahead and do music.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSo I met Baby Fresh already. It was just a moment when I had to make that big sacrifice.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Crayon, said he had to call a friend for support, adding that he lied to his parents about not being on the school\u2019s admission list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI was in UNILAG writing my post-UTME and I walked out and everyone was just looking at me like, \u2018Who is the guy? How?\u2019 Like, \u2018Why would you do this after waiting for so long?\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI had to call my friend Julius.
