This award is available for<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/tag\/scholarships-for-africans\/\">\u00a0African students<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0with strong academic background who wish to enrol in a degree program of the University for the 2023\/2024 academic session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"275\" height=\"183\" src=\"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Newcastle.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12024\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The Africa Excellence Scholarship has been established to attract high-performing\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/tag\/international-students\/\">international students<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to the University of Newcastle. It is a merit-based scholarship that recognises applicants with a strong academic background and incentivises them to continue striving to be the best that they can be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):<\/strong>&nbsp;University of Newcastle, Australia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Host Institution(s):&nbsp;<\/strong>University of Newcastle, Australia<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Worth:<\/strong>&nbsp;AU$10,000 for each year of study<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Awards: 100<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study Level:<\/strong>&nbsp;Undergraduates &amp; Postgraduates<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality:<\/strong>\u00a0Africans<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Details<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit.&nbsp; About 100 slots are available for the year 2023. All academic merit determinations are determined according to the University\u2019s procedures for determining ATAR and GPA<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who do not receive an offer of the scholarship will not be eligible for the scholarship. Internal transfer students who are studying at an Australian or Online campus and were not previously awarded the scholarship will also not be eligible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students studying quota-limited programs will not be eligible for this scholarship (please view full terms and conditions for the list of quota-limited programs which will not be eligible)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for University of Newcastle Africa Excellence Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must hold a passport from one of the 54 countries of Africa.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must be commencing study in an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree program at the University (excluding ELICOS, Enabling, Non-Award, Higher Degrees by Research programs and programs delivered at offshore campuses).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must be an International full-fee paying student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must be commencing in an eligible program at an Australian or Online campus as indicated in your Letter of Offer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must not be the beneficiary of a separate University scholarship unless prior approval for special dispensation has been obtained from the university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must meet all of the financial obligations of a full-fee paying international student, including the full tuition fee and other expenses for the purpose of obtaining your student visa, and in the event that eligibility for the scholarship is not maintained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>The Scholarships will automatically be awarded to students who have received an offer to study in an eligible, non-quota program and who will commence studying with the University of Newcastle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful students will receive notification of the value of their scholarship with their Letter of Offer and should review the full terms and conditions, advising the university if you do not wish to accept.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: Not Specified<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newcastle.edu.au\/scholarships\/UNI_043\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the Official Website for Further Details<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The University of Newcastle is currently accepting applications from interested and eligible students who might be qualified for the\u00a0Africa Excellence<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":12024,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[47],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-12023","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-scholarship"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
