Applications are currently invited from interested applicants for the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/mcfsp-at-the-university-of-pretoria-2022\/\"><strong>2023 MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;at the University of Pretoria, South Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program is a 10-year, $500 million global initiative to educate and develop next generation leaders who will contribute to social and economic transformation.\u00a0 The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/tag\/university-of-pretoria-south-africa\/\"><strong>University of Pretoria (UP)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is partnering with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/tag\/mastercard-foundation\/\"><strong>Mastercard Foundation (MCF)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to offer scholarships to deserving African students interested in studying at postgraduate levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):&nbsp;<\/strong>Mastercard Foundation (MCF)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Host Institution(s):&nbsp;<\/strong>The University of Pretoria (UP)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Worth<\/strong><strong>:&nbsp;<\/strong>Full Funding (Amount not stated)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Awards:&nbsp;<\/strong>Several<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study Level<\/strong>: Masters<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality:\u00a0<\/strong>Africans<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Details<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mastercard Foundation offers a full scholarship to students who have applied for and been admitted to one of the following programmes&nbsp;at the University&nbsp;of Pretoria:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Postgraduate Study Programmes<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Faculty of Natural and Agricultural Sciences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faculty of Humanities for entry into the BPolSci (Political Studies or International Studies only)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Honours and Masters degree applications will be accepted in the fields of Engineering (continuing students only).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates should be citizens from Africa.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants should come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds and demonstrate financial neediness.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates should demonstrate leadership potential and ought to be involved in a giving back project e. in a community, at school, church etc<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Academic excellence is paramount and students have to maintain a high academic average at all times.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Apply<\/strong>: Applications to study at UP opens on&nbsp;<strong>1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;March and closes on the 30<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;August<\/strong>&nbsp;of the year proceeding the year of study. Students who are interested in studies at the University of Pretoria and wish to apply for The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program must follow the application process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Apply online at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.up.ac.za\/apply\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.up.ac.za\/apply<\/a>. Alternatively, you can submit a hard copy of your application form.
