The Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) and the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/youth-adolescents\/\">Youth<\/a>&nbsp;in Landscapes Initiative (YIL) are hosting a storytelling contest for young Africans to unleash their creativity and share their visions for thriving landscapes across the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Stories.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-12825\" width=\"321\" height=\"321\" srcset=\"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Stories.jpg 225w, https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/Stories-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 321px) 100vw, 321px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Themes<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your story should revolve around the key themes of a thriving Africa, including but not limited to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Food sovereignty, thriving food systems, biodiverse landscapes, land tenure, ecosystem restoration,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/women-gender\/\">gender<\/a>, climate justice,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/indigenous-communities\/\">Indigenous<\/a>&nbsp;rights, community-led action, youth leadership and sustainable finance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They encourage you to explore the interplay between healthy landscapes and vibrant communities, the pursuit of justice and equity, and pathways to prosperity for all Africans. Share your ideas, hopes, and dreams for a future that embraces community, collaboration, inclusivity and resilience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Prize Information<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The top 10 to 15 entries will be featured on GLF\u2019s website and social&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www2.fundsforngos.org\/category\/media\/\">media<\/a>&nbsp;channels, as well as during GLF Nairobi 2023, reaching thousands of people gathered in person and online to forge a brighter future for the world\u2019s landscapes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apart from the incredible opportunity to showcase your talent and share your vision with a global audience, the three best stories will receive prizes of EUR 500, 300 and 200 respectively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The contest is open to anyone between the ages of 18 and 35 born and\/or currently living in Africa or part of the African diaspora.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They would like to encourage folks from underrepresented groups across Africa to submit their story and vision.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All entries will be reviewed by a panel including the YIL Steering Committee and the GLF team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They will acknowledge all submissions but only contact selected candidates.
