Applications are now being accepted for the 2023 ITTO Fellowship Program. Through the Freezailah Fellowship Fund, the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) grants fellowships to advance professional knowledge in tropical forestry and associated fields in member nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The objective is to encourage the efficient use of tropical timber in construction and other products, as well as greater economic knowledge about the global trade in tropical timber. More than 1400 young and mid-career individuals from more than 49 countries who work for the government, universities, research institutions, civil society, and the private sector have been given the opportunity to pursue their professional development and enhance their career prospects thanks to the Programme, which started in 1989.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Only citizens of ITTO Member nations may submit an application.
Awards must be given to people, not organizations.
Within two years after obtaining the initial award and submitting to the Secretariat a final report on the activity for which the award was made, previous ITTO Fellowship recipients are not qualified to qualify for another ITTO Fellowship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
