Students of the West African sub-region are encouraged to take this opportunity&nbsp; and grab the full sponsorship to study at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/tag\/university-of-oxford-united-kingdom\/\"><strong>University of Oxford<\/strong><\/a>. Application is open to graduate students of all background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AIG Scholarships are targeted at graduates between the ages of 25 and 45 with strong intellectual capability, outstanding academic achievements, leadership skills and a passion to contribute to the development of Africa\u2019s public sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):<\/strong>&nbsp;Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship to be taken at<\/strong>: University of Oxford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Type<\/strong>: Fully Funded Scholarship<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Worth<\/strong>: covers full tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Awards<\/strong>: Several<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study Level<\/strong>: Masters degree level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality<\/strong>: West African States (e.g. Nigeria and Ghana)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DETAILS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To accomplish our objective of being an impetus for transformation in the Public Sector, Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG) will each year for five year, counting from 2017, finance five grants for remarkable West African students from all settings who have interest in the public sector, to study Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government , University of Oxford. Upon graduation, AIG Scholars will in return be expected to apply their learning knowledge as change specialists in their nation\u2019s public sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AIG Scholarship program is basically aimed at young graduate students between the ages of 25 and 35 with solid scholarly capacity, extraordinary scholastic accomplishments, initiative abilities and an enthusiasm to add to the advancement of Africa\u2019s public sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The following eligibility criteria have been set out for the AIG Scholarship program, &nbsp;to be eligible and be&nbsp; considered for the award you must;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a Nigerian currently working in the public sector (Ministries, Departments, Agencies &amp; Parastatals) at either Federal or State levels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aged between 25 and 45 years<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a minimum of seven (7) years (combined private &amp; public sector) work experience<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a bachelor\u2019s degree with a minimum of second-class upper qualification<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Important notes:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Academic distinction and leadership potential are key priorities for selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the case of candidates with second-class upper qualifications, a Master\u2019s, second degree or relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only applicants shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process will be contacted and any inquiries regarding individual application status are strictly prohibited.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications sent via post or in person are NOT acceptable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates who emerge as finalists in the Africa Initiative for Governance (AIG) selection process will be expected to apply directly to the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford, for admissions.
