{"id":13554,"date":"2023-08-09T14:34:47","date_gmt":"2023-08-09T14:34:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=13554"},"modified":"2023-08-09T14:34:52","modified_gmt":"2023-08-09T14:34:52","slug":"jamii-femmes-african-women-entrepreneurs-for-sustainable-impact-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/jamii-femmes-african-women-entrepreneurs-for-sustainable-impact-2\/","title":{"rendered":"JAMII Femmes African Women Entrepreneurs for sustainable impact"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In 2022, the&nbsp;<strong>Coca-Cola Foundation<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Women In Africa<\/strong>&nbsp;joined forces to support 20,000 African women entrepreneurs through the&nbsp;<strong>\u201cJAMII Femmes\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<strong>JAMII Femmes<\/strong>&nbsp;initiative aims to increase the impact of African women entrepreneurs on the&nbsp;<strong>African economy<\/strong>&nbsp;and to support the creation of&nbsp;<strong>innovative solutions<\/strong>&nbsp;for sustainable development that will contribute to&nbsp;<strong>positive change<\/strong>&nbsp;in Africa by improving the quality of life for tens of thousands of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JAMII Femmes is a great opportunity to develop skills, access a grant and join a network of 7000 women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Implementation of the program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this second year, the&nbsp;<strong>Coca-Cola Foundation<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Women In Africa<\/strong>&nbsp;are offering&nbsp;<strong>a multi-phase program<\/strong>&nbsp;to&nbsp;<strong>7,000 women in three countries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Phase 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Education:<\/strong>&nbsp;access to the Honoris United Universities Certificate (cf curriculum) and masterclasses of experts for 7000 women<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This program is inclusive and at the same time selective.<\/strong>&nbsp;That\u2019s why the&nbsp;<strong>Education Pillar<\/strong>, which is extremely important for women entrepreneurs, is<strong>&nbsp;open to both new and experienced women entrepreneurs.<\/strong>&nbsp;With this we also hope to create a community where experienced women entrepreneurs can also inspire those who start.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the program progresses, the selection criteria will focus on entrepreneurial performance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Women Eligibility profile<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Women over 18 years old<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Countries: Algeria Egypt or South Africa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Impactful Entrepreneur or Business Idea aligned with UNESCO SDGs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to take part in an online program (Device+ Internet connection + dedicated time)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Phase 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Subject to completion of Phase 1 (certification)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Grants:<\/strong>&nbsp;access to grants ranging from $300 to $10,000* for the top 600 of 7,000 women<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Acceleration:&nbsp;<\/strong>access to a face-to-face acceleration boot camp for the top 20 in each country. This boot camp will allow you to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>further strengthen your skills with experts, mentors<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>access the high-level network of WIA and its partners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>access exclusive opportunities for bootcamp partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Visibility:<\/strong>&nbsp;lifetime access to the WIA network, and thus to potential opportunities throughout Africa. And for the top 20, a dedicated communication campaign will be deployed by WIA and its partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>*Winners of the $10,000 Awards will be selected from the top 60 based on their business performance and the jury\u2019s decision during the boot camp.
