{"id":1388,"date":"2022-03-24T17:16:21","date_gmt":"2022-03-24T17:16:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=1388"},"modified":"2022-03-24T17:16:23","modified_gmt":"2022-03-24T17:16:23","slug":"nimasa-2022-world-maritime-day-essay-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/nimasa-2022-world-maritime-day-essay-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"NIMASA 2022 World Maritime Day essay competition."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) is organizing an essay competition to commemorate World Maritime Day with the theme \u201cSustainable Shipping for Sustainable Planet\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The essay competition is designed to create awareness of the tremendous opportunities in the maritime sector and engender the interest of Nigerian youths to pursue careers in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The World Maritime Day is celebrated by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and member states globally to focus attention on the importance of shipping safety, maritime security, marine environment, seafarers and other specific aspects of IMO\u2019s work.<br><strong>ESSAY TOPIC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The topic For the essay competition is \u201c<strong>Seafarers: At the core of shipping&#8217;s future<\/strong>\u201c, in Line with the theme For the 2021 celebration of World Maritime Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REQUIREMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The essay competition is open to only Year 1 and Year 2 students of Nigerian tertiary institutions<\/li><li>Participants are required to scan bona fide proof of studentship alongside their essays.
