{"id":1414,"date":"2022-03-28T16:10:51","date_gmt":"2022-03-28T16:10:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=1414"},"modified":"2022-03-28T16:10:54","modified_gmt":"2022-03-28T16:10:54","slug":"ippis-has-always-been-a-medium-to-embezzle-funds-asuu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/ippis-has-always-been-a-medium-to-embezzle-funds-asuu\/","title":{"rendered":"IPPIS has Always Been a Medium to Embezzle Funds-ASUU."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, Federal University Otuoke, FUO, has condemned the federal government\u2019s insistence on Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System, IPPIS, as a platform for payment against the\u00a0 Universities Transparency Accountability Solution, UTAS, preferred by ASUU, claiming that IPPIS has always been a conduit pipe for dissipation of resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chairperson of ASUU FUO chapter, Mr. Socrates Ebo, in a statement made available to newsmen in Yenagoa on Sunday, said a report of the Auditor-General of the Federation has shown that IPPIS is an ineffective platform that can be easily compromised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Mr. Ebo report by the National Information Technology Develop Agency, NITDA, rated UTAS as excellent, however there is a plot underground to frustrate  ASUU amid the desperation to protect IPPIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBy its own report, NITDA acknowledges that UTAS scored 99.3%in the about 698 tests it conducted on UTAS. How do you fail a student that scored over 99% in an examination? Welcome to Buhari\u2019s special Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIs someone trying to get back at ASUU for rejecting the professorship award bazaar?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Who on earth fails a student that has scored over 99% in an examination when 70% is the First Class grade?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis is a clear evidence of malice. It is clear someone up there is trying to get back at ASUU. Is there a racket associated with IPPIS? Why the desperation to protect IPPIS which scored an \u201cF\u201d when subjected to the same tests given to UTAS? Who is benefiting from IPPIS?
