The partnership between the universities helps share cost thereby increasing the number of scholarships that can be funded by the Beit Trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):&nbsp;<\/strong>The Beit Trust<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarships to be taken at:&nbsp;<\/strong>UK or South Africa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Type<\/strong>: &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/tag\/fully-funded\/\"><strong>Full Scholarship<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship level<\/strong>:&nbsp; Postgraduate (Masters)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Worth:&nbsp;<\/strong>See Benefits (below)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality:\u00a0<\/strong>Africans<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By Act of Parliament, the Beit Trust supports ONLY students who are nationals of&nbsp;<strong>Zambia<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Zimbabwe<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Malawi<\/strong>, who hold permanent residence, live there and\/or intend to return to their country after their studies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Applicants<\/strong>&nbsp;(except medical and veterinary doctors)&nbsp;<strong>must be under 30 years of age on 31 December 2023<\/strong>. Relevant experience of work after completion of a first degree is strongly recommended and will count towards the award of a scholarship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Doctors and Vets must be under 35 years of age on 31 December 2023.<\/strong>&nbsp;They should have completed 18 months of internship, and a one-year, preferably rural, posting in Zambia, Zimbabwe or Malawi.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Trust cannot consider applications from those who have already begun a course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Trust will only consider applicants with&nbsp;<strong>First Class\/Distinction or Upper Second Class degrees<\/strong>&nbsp;(or equivalent) at undergraduate level.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scholarship Benefits<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fees, tuition costs and related academic expenses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A personal allowance, index-linked in accordance from an independent authority, covering maintenance support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other allowances are paid for arrival, a laptop and departure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Economy class tickets to the place of study and on final return.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedure<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>Interested applicants for the Beit Trust Postgraduate Scholarship 2024\/25 are to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/scholarships255225.typeform.com\/to\/fgRgQPFj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apply<\/a>&nbsp;by following the procedures as outlined:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Apply to any of the partner university in the UK and South Africa and be offered admission to study a postgraduate course.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notify the partner university that he\/she will be approaching the Beit Trust for scholarship funding and should also indicate the work experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Notify the Trust once application has been submitted to the partner university and also tell the trust which course is being applied for.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Confirm their nationality to the Trust; Zambians are to send their application form for confirmation to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:scholarships@beittrust.org.uk\">scholarships@beittrust.org.uk<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants from Zimbabwe and Malawi are to send theirs to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:africa@beittrust.org.uk\">africa@beittrust.org.uk<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications, with all the supporting documents are to be uploaded online via the scholarship application link before the application deadline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Document Requirements:<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A signed Medical Certificate Form from your doctor.&nbsp; This will need to be completed&nbsp;before you begin the application process below.&nbsp; Please download the form here:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/beittrust.org.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Medical-Certificate-2023-24.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Medical Certificate Form<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A copy of your offer letter from a UK Partner University\/s; or a PDF document detailing the university\/s and course\/s you will apply to at South African Partner University\/s.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Degree results.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Curriculum Vitae<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A personal statement(no longer than 500 words) to explain in your own words how you think a postgraduate degree will benefit your country and its development.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A clear recent photograph of yourself: not a passport photo, but something that shows you to your best advantage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A clear copy of your valid passport, showing date of issue and expiry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:&nbsp;<\/strong>To be Updated<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/beittrust.org.uk\/beit-trust-scholarships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the official website for Further Details<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2024\/2025 Beit Trust Postgraduate Scholarships for Africans opens for applications beginning September 2023.&nbsp; African students are invited to apply<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":14280,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[47],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-14279","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-scholarship"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
