With this scholarship, you are free to focus on achieving your academic goal and volunteer to give back to your community and promote the engagement of women in STEM through the STEM Outreach Chapter at their university. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are looking for scholars that show a need, have the passion, and drive to make a difference in their community. This section contains all of the information you need in order to successfully submit an application. We encourage you to review it fully in order to ensure that you have the best possible chance of being selected for an award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Criteria:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Female students of African origin, living and studying in Africa.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Currently enrolled in a Bachelor\u2019s degree program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Studying STEM-related courses in a University or college in Africa.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Presently a first or second year student or a third-year student for a 5-year course in a University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to demonstrate financial need<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent Academic Record.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven leadership, volunteering, and community service<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Below the age of 32 years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required Documents:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2 Reference Letter to be submitted by your referees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 signed and sealed copy of your current transcript from your University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 scanned copy of your school ID card.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Award<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The WAAW Foundation scholarship is a one-time award of $500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadline:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>17th November 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply, visit our\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/waawfoundation.org\/scholarship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">website<\/a>\u00a0during the application period and complete the online form.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WAAW Foundation Scholarship enables female college students in Africa to pursue their studies in a STEM-related course.
