All people, no matter where their starting point in life, should have an equal chance to succeed. We believe that with access to education, financial services, and skills training, people can have that chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our focus is helping economically disadvantaged young people in Africa to find opportunities to move themselves, their families, and their communities out of poverty to a better life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be ordinarily resident in an African country unless you can show temporary absence for study\/work with an intention to return, or unless you have been displaced.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be applying for a Master\u2019s course of up to one year in length, at the University of Cambridge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duration and Reward<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full Scholarship&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Accommodation&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monthly Stipends<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Airfare Tickets&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The application for funding is imbedded in the course application process.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the application process, prospective scholars will be required to provide a supplementary statement that indicates their personal commitment to contributing to climate-resilient and sustainable futures for Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Timeline:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applications open:&nbsp;1 September 2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Application and Funding deadline:&nbsp;Depending&nbsp;on your course \u2013 either early December 2023&nbsp;or early&nbsp;January 2023&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Departmental academic assessment:&nbsp;December 2023 \u2013 February 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mastercard Foundation Scholars&nbsp;selection:&nbsp;Late February 2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholarships offered:&nbsp;March 2024<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Method of Application<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Application process commences with an application for admission to the University of Cambridge via the course directory, to be completed by the funding deadline of the course.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.postgraduate.study.cam.ac.uk\/courses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/www.postgraduate.study.cam.ac.uk\/courses<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The deadline for submitting applications for funding is the 5th&nbsp;of December 2023 for courses with a 5th&nbsp;of December deadline and 5th&nbsp;of January 2024 for courses with a 5th&nbsp;of January deadline.
