The Polytechnic was named Jigawa State Polytechnic by edict No. 1 of December 1991 with four colleges spread across the state (College of Engineering and Technology and the Central Administration at Kazaure, College of Business and Management Studies at Dutse, College of Islamic Studies and Legal Studies at Ringim and College of Agriculture at Hadejia). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/hafedlogo.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14821\" style=\"width:491px;height:491px\" width=\"491\" height=\"491\" srcset=\"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/hafedlogo.png 250w, https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/hafedlogo-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 491px) 100vw, 491px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Hajiya Rabi Ishaq was the pioneer Rector of the Polytechnic who served from January 1992 to February 1994. She was succeeded by Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar who served from April 1994 to November 1999. It was during his tenure that the Polytechnic was renamed Hussaini Adamu Polytechnic in order to immortalize the late emir. Muhammad Abubakar was succeeded by Dr. Mas\u2019ud Adamu Kazaure who served from December 1999 to October 2010. It was during his tenure in 2007 the Federal Government took over the Polytechnic, hence the name Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic. Dr. Mas\u2019ud Kazaure was succeeded by Abdullahi MaikudiNuhu who served in acting capacity from 27th October 2010 to 27th July, 2011. Dr. Kabiru Ibrahim Matazu, mni, was appointed as the Rector after Abdullahi Maikudi Nuhu by President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Dr. GoodluckEbele Jonathan from 23rd December, 2011 to 22nd December, 2015.
