In\u00a0a bid to\u00a0encourage the\u00a0indigents\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0community studying with the National Open University of Nigeria\u00a0(NOUN), the\u00a0Isanlu\u00a0Professors\u00a0Forum\u00a0has awarded\u00a0Scholarship to\u00a0students of the community\u00a0in order\u00a0to further their respective studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The\u00a0forum,\u00a0led by Prof. Eyitayo Lambo,\u00a0a\u00a0former Minister of Health, awarded\u00a0the\u00a0scholarship to\u00a0six\u00a0indigent students comprising of postgraduates and undergraduates\u00a0who are studying at the Isanlu Community Study Centre of NOUN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another son of the community, Engineer Ayo Aloko\u00a0also\u00a0gave\u00a0four-year full scholarship to\u00a0two\u00a0undergraduate students\u00a0of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The director of the centre, Dr. (Mrs.) Florence F. Fatimayin and her team, hosted the event which took place on September 8, 2023 at the centre, located in Yagba-East Local Government Area, Kogi State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fatimayin thanked the donors and the community at large for their unwavering supports and for encouraging the indigents to study and enroll in the centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Oba of Isanlu, Dr. Moses B. Etombi, who presented the scholarship awards to the beneficiaries, appreciated the efforts of the donors especially the professors forum for their various contributions to the stability and the smooth functioning of the centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On their part, the representatives of the awardees and their parents thanked the donors and promised to make good use of the opportunity given to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In attendance at the event were\u00a0the\u00a0Oba,\u00a0Dr. Moses B. Etombi, representative of the\u00a0professors forum, Isanlu\u00a0Progressive\u00a0Union, parents and\u00a0\u00a0a host of\u00a0others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
