They\u2019re also creating globally-minded, multi-lingual, culturally-competent graduates poised to take on the world\u2019s most pressing problems in science, technology, business, and public policy!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recognition of the extraordinary potential of these students, they\u2019ve created the MPOWER Global Citizen Scholarship. They\u2019ve intentionally designed this scholarship program to be as broad as possible to match the broad, diverse experiences of international students. There\u2019s no requirement to be an MPOWER borrower to apply!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scholarships awarded annually to international and DACA students enrolled at schools MPOWER supports.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Awards:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grand Prize: $10,000<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Honorable Mentions (2): $2,000.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be accepted at, or enrolled in, a full-time degree program at a U.S. or Canadian school that MPOWER supports, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be an international student allowed to legally study in the U.S. or Canada, as applicable:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For study in the U.S., this means that the applicant meets one of these criteria:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has a valid visa that permits study in the U.S.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is protected under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is a U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For study in Canada, this means the applicant meets one of these criteria:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is a Canadian permanent resident<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Has a valid Canadian study permit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They have created this scholarship specifically for international and DACA students.
