{"id":14994,"date":"2023-09-26T10:50:43","date_gmt":"2023-09-26T10:50:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=14994"},"modified":"2023-09-26T10:50:46","modified_gmt":"2023-09-26T10:50:46","slug":"2024-global-korea-scholarship-gks-for-international-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/2024-global-korea-scholarship-gks-for-international-students\/","title":{"rendered":"2024 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) For International Students"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is offered to international students who want to pursue Bachelor, Masters and PhD degrees in Korean Universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024, the Korean Government\u2019s Global Korea Scholarship program aims to invite international students who wish to pursue undergraduate degrees in Korea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship is aimed to provide international students with an opportunity to conduct advanced studies at higher educational institutions in Korea, to develop global leaders and to strengthen Korea-friendly networks worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Requirements:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Citizenship<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates and their parents must hold non-Korean citizenship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Age<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>KGSP-G: under 40<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>KGSP-U: under 25<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Health<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates must be physically and mentally healthy for their studies in Korea.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Degree Requirements<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>KGSP-G: Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>KGSP-U: High school diploma<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Grades<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The cumulative grade point average (CGPA) must be 80% or higher; or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The CGPA must be 2.64\/ 4.0, 2.80\/ 4.3, 2.91\/ 4.5, or 3.23\/ 5.0 or higher.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Duration and Reward<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Flight<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tuition<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stipend<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Medical Insurance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Settlement Allowance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Completion Grants<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Global Korea Scholarship is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea in pursuit of academic degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants submit their applications either to the Korean Embassies around the world or to the partnering universities in Korea \u2013 The embassies and universities select the successful candidates among the applicants in the 1st round of selection. The applicants of the successful candidates will then be forwarded to NIIED<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The NIIED selection committee&nbsp;selects the&nbsp;successful candidates among those who passed the 1st round.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Among the successful candidates who have passed the 2nd round, the applications of those who applied through the Korean Embassies will be reviewed by universities for admission.
