{"id":15159,"date":"2023-09-29T16:40:24","date_gmt":"2023-09-29T16:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=15159"},"modified":"2023-09-29T16:40:27","modified_gmt":"2023-09-29T16:40:27","slug":"prifysgol-bangor-university-commonwealth-masters-scholarship-2023-fully-funded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/prifysgol-bangor-university-commonwealth-masters-scholarship-2023-fully-funded\/","title":{"rendered":"Prifysgol Bangor University Commonwealth Master\u2019s Scholarship 2023 (Fully-funded)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Applications are hereby invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/prifysgol-bangor-university-commonwealth-masters-scholarship-2023-fully-funded\/\"><strong>Bangor University Commonwealth Master\u2019s Scholarship&nbsp;<\/strong><\/a>for the 2023 \u2013 2024 academic session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/tag\/commonwealth-scholarships\/\"><strong>Commonwealth Scholarship<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is to enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):<\/strong>&nbsp;Commonwealth &amp; Development Office (FCDO), UK<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Host Institution(s):<\/strong>&nbsp;Prifysgol Bangor University, UK<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Worth:<\/strong>&nbsp;Fully-funded<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Awards:&nbsp;<\/strong>Several<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study Level:<\/strong>&nbsp;Masters<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality:<\/strong>\u00a0International Students<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Details<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The award is Funded by the UK&nbsp;Foreign, Commonwealth &amp; Development Office (FCDO), Commonwealth Master\u2019s Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible for Prifysgol Bangor University Commonwealth Master\u2019s Scholarship, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>By September 2024, hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard, or a second-class degree (2:2) and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master\u2019s degree). The CSC would not normally fund a second UK Master\u2019s degree. If you are applying for a second UK Master\u2019s degree, you will need to provide justification as to why you wish to undertake this study.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Candidates must check with the nominating agency for their specific advice and rules for applying, and their own eligibility criteria.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful applicants for Commonwealth Master\u2019s Scholarship, will receive the following benefits:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Approved tuition fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approved airfare from your home country to the UK and return at the end of your award (the CSC will not reimburse the cost of fares for dependants, nor the cost of journeys made before your award is confirmed)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stipend (living allowance) at the rate of \u00a31,347 per month<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Warm clothing allowance, where applicable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thesis grant towards the cost of preparing a thesis or dissertation, where applicable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Study travel grant towards the cost of study-related travel within the UK or overseas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>Applications must be made using the CSC\u2019s online application system Candidates must apply to one of the following nominating bodies in the first instance \u2013&nbsp;the CSC does not accept direct applications for these scholarships:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cscuk.fcdo.gov.uk\/national-nominating-agencies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National nominating agencies<\/a>&nbsp;\u2013 this is the main route of applications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;Selected&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cscuk.fcdo.gov.uk\/ngos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">non-governmental organisations and charitable bodies<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: December 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bangor.ac.uk\/international\/commonwealthshared\/scholarship\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the Official Website for Further Details<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Applications are hereby invited from interested and suitably qualified candidates for&nbsp;Bangor University Commonwealth Master\u2019s Scholarship&nbsp;for the 2023 \u2013 2024 academic<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":15160,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[47],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-15159","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-scholarship"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
