The program is a fully funded scholarship program targeted at eligible Africans to study for undergraduate degree at USIU-Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) has partnered with the Mastercard Foundation in its global Scholars Program. This initiative will offer academically talented youth from Africa facing financial, gender, displacement, or disability constraints an opportunity to access world class university education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):<\/strong>&nbsp;Mastercard Foundation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Host Institution(s):<\/strong>&nbsp;USIU-Africa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship Worth:<\/strong>&nbsp;Fully-funded<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Number of Awards:&nbsp;<\/strong>Several<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Study Level:<\/strong>&nbsp;Undergraduate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nationality:<\/strong>\u00a0African Students<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>DETAILS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at USIU-Africa will provide full-cost scholarships to young Africans who are first-time undergraduate degree-seeking applicants. By completion of their studies, scholars will be required to lead changes in their communities and contribute to meaningful transformation across the continent, having been equipped with internationally recognized and locally applicable qualifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship targets African youth who are either, Young Women, Refugees\/displaced Youth, Persons with Disability and Young Men with the following qualities;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Academic talent<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to giving back to their communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leadership potential<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Priority shall be given to registered Refugees\/Displaced youth and Persons with Disability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be considered for&nbsp;<strong>Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at USIU-Africa<\/strong>, applicants are to meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must be 29 years and below at the time of application.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet the minimum university entry grade of a C+ and above or its equivalent as set by the Kenya Commission for University Education. Applicants interested in courses in the school of Pharmacy and Health Sciences must have a mean grade of B- or its equivalent and at least a C+ or B- in the cluster subjects of English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. International applicants must meet the equivalent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be interested in any of the approved 13 undergraduate degree programs for the Scholars Program at USIU-Africa as follows:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School of Science and Technology (SST) \u2013&nbsp;Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Technology, Bachelor of Science in Information Systems and Technology, Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Analytics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (SPHS) \u2013&nbsp;Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School of Communication, Cinematic and Creative Arts (SCCCA) \u2013 Bachelor of Arts in Animation, Bachelor of Arts in Film Production and Directing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chandaria School of Business (CSB) \u2013&nbsp;Bachelor of Science in Finance, Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration and Bachelor of Science in Accounting;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) \u2013&nbsp;Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have proven record of leadership involvement and community give back engagement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate socio-economic disadvantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>Interested applicants can download the application form from the USIU-Africa website or pick the forms at no cost, from the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Office at the School of Graduate Studies, Research and Extension, 2nd floor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Before filling in the application form, please read through all the instructions and required information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit complete application together with other supporting documents required by email ensuring that the scanned copy of the scholarship application form and all the required documents are scanned in PDF format.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clearly name while sending with your name and nationality as the email subject to:&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:mcfsp-applications@usiu.ac.ke\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mcfsp-applications@usiu.ac.ke<\/a>&nbsp;or drop your application at the Scholars Program Office, located in the School of Graduate Studies, Research and Extension building at USIU-Africa, or post your application to:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Program Director,<br>Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program,<br>United States International University \u2013 Africa,<br>P.
