{"id":15239,"date":"2023-10-04T15:39:35","date_gmt":"2023-10-04T15:39:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=15239"},"modified":"2023-10-04T15:39:40","modified_gmt":"2023-10-04T15:39:40","slug":"2024-unesco-young-professionals-programme-ypp-for-young-graduates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/2024-unesco-young-professionals-programme-ypp-for-young-graduates\/","title":{"rendered":"2024 UNESCO Young Professionals Programme (YPP) For Young Graduates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>UNESCO Young Professionals Programme is a recruitment initiative aiming to improve the geographical representation, promote gender parity in the Organization at international level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This programme provides talented, highly qualified university graduates and young professionals from non- and under- represented Member States the opportunity to join UNESCO at the early stage of their professional career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Nationality:&nbsp;<\/strong>Candidates should be nationals from&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/unesco.sharepoint.com\/:b:\/s\/HRMTeam\/EWvoKS12LhZKuGM-v9f9mdgBohqES3cLCenaKkK75MqAtA?e=8BCbla\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">non- and under-represented Member States<\/a>&nbsp;at UNESCO.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Age:<\/strong>&nbsp; Less than 32 years (inclusive).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Education:&nbsp;<\/strong>an advanced university degree in education, culture, science, social and human sciences or communication, or in a field related to the management and administration of an international organization. This will be specified in the vacancy announcement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Languages:<\/strong>&nbsp;fluent English or French. Knowledge of both working languages is an asset. Knowledge of Spanish, Russian, Arabic or Chinese is an additional asset.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Previous experience:&nbsp;<\/strong>initial professional experience is an asset, but not mandatory.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration and Reward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monthly Stipend&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attractive Compensation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Note<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Screening<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All applications are reviewed by a committee which will establish a shortlist based on <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; \u2013 Academic qualifications;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; \u2013 Motivation\/statement of interest;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; \u2013 Presentation of the application;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; \u2013 Language and writing skills;<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; \u2013 Level of professional experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Interviews and evaluation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a video interview followed by a panel interview.&nbsp;The interviews provides candidates with an opportunity to demonstrate their communication skills, team spirit, analytical skills, sense of initiative, creativity, flexibility and adaptability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to interviews, tests may be required to determine the related competencies as well as the level of proficiency in the working languages of UNESCO (English and French).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Decision<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>UNESCO will send a\u00a0letter of appointment\u00a0to successful candidates. In the other case, UNESCO will inform the interested National Commissions and Permanent Delegations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Method of Application<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates send their applications to the National Commission or the Permanent Delegation of their country of citizenship.
