Both awards are available to domestic and international students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Deakin University &amp; Australian Government<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Host Institution(s):<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Deakin University, Australia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scholarship Worth:<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>A stipend of $33,500 per annum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Number of Awards:&nbsp;<\/strong>Several<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Study Level:<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Research Master Degree and Doctoral degree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nationality:<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Domestic or International Students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must be a domestic or international student enrolled in an HDR course of study at Deakin University<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicant must not be receiving an equivalent award or scholarship from the Commonwealth designed to offset HDR fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must not be receiving income from another source to support that student\u2019s general living costs while undertaking their course of study if that income is greater than 75 per cent of that student\u2019s RTP or DUPRS Stipend rate. Income unrelated to the student\u2019s course of study or income received for the student\u2019s course of study but not for the purposes of supporting general living costs is not to be taken into account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please refer to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.deakin.edu.au\/research\/research-degrees-and-PhD\/research-degree-entry-pathways\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">research degree entry pathways<\/a>&nbsp;page&nbsp;for information on admission requirements to a HDR course at Deakin University.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Terms and conditions for each scholarship are detailed in the&nbsp;Further Information&nbsp;section below. For information about the RTP Scholarship Policy please refer to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/policy.deakin.edu.au\/document\/view-current.php?id=222\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) Scholarships Procedure.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scholarship Benefits<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Successful applicants for Deakin University Postgraduate Research Scholarship will receive the following Stipend and Allowances:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A stipend of $33,500 per annum tax exempt (effective from 28\/05\/2023)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A relocation allowance from $500 to $1,500 (for single to family) awarded to students who are moving from interstate or overseas in order to study at Deakin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For international students only:&nbsp;Single Overseas Student Health Cover policy for the duration of the student visa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Funding Duration<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Doctoral Degree Duration: 3 years for stipend and 4 years for the tuition fees offset<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research Master Degree Duration: 2 years for stipend and 2 years for the tuition fees offset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>For Prospective students, the application process at Deakin differs depending on which Faculty or Institute you wish to study in. Applicants must submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) before commencing the application process.
