{"id":15419,"date":"2023-10-10T13:07:36","date_gmt":"2023-10-10T13:07:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=15419"},"modified":"2023-10-10T13:07:39","modified_gmt":"2023-10-10T13:07:39","slug":"government-of-the-slovak-republic-scholarships-for-international-students-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/government-of-the-slovak-republic-scholarships-for-international-students-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Government of the Slovak Republic Scholarships for international students 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Government of the Slovak Republic currently offers\u00a0National\u00a0Scholarships Program for international students<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>for the support of mobility of students, PhD students, University teachers, researchers and artists for scholarship stays at\u00a0higher education institutions\u00a0and\u00a0research organisations\u00a0in Slovakia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme offers scholarships to cover living costs during the stay and travel allowances (all categories in case of scholarship holders from Slovakia; students and PhD students in case of international scholarship holders).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Scholarship Sponsor(s):<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>The Government of the Slovak Republic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Host Institution(s):<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Universities in Slovak Republic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scholarship Worth:<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Funded<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Number of Awards:&nbsp;<\/strong>Several<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Study Level:<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>PhD students, university teachers, researchers and artists<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nationality:<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>Domestic or International Students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To be considered for the Government of the Slovak Republic Scholarships, applicants are expected to meet the following conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants&nbsp;who<strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Are university students at universities outside Slovakia;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Are students of the second level of higher education (master\u2019s students), or are students who at the time of the application deadline have already completed at least 2.5 years of their university studies in the same\/similar study programme;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Will be on a study stay in Slovakia during their higher education outside Slovakia and who will be accepted by a public, private or state higher education institution in Slovakia for an academic mobility&nbsp;to study in Slovakia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All 3 conditions must be met. This category does not apply to doctoral (PhD) studies (or their equivalent).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Duration of a scholarship stay (students): 1 \u2013 2 full semesters (i.e. 4 \u2013 5 or 9 \u2013 10 months) or 1 \u2013 3 full trimesters, in case the academic year is divided into trimesters (i.e. 3 \u2013 4 or 6 \u2013 7 or 9 \u2013 10 months).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PhD students&nbsp;whose higher education or scientific training takes place outside Slovakia and who are accepted by a public, private or state higher education institution or a research institution in Slovakia eligible to carry out a doctoral study programme&nbsp;(e.g. the Slovak Academy of Sciences) for an academic mobility<sup>&nbsp;<\/sup>to study\/conduct research\/artistic stay in Slovakia.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Duration of a scholarship stay (PhD students): 1 \u2013 10 months.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>International&nbsp;university teachers, researchers and artists&nbsp;who are invited to a teaching\/research\/artistic stay in Slovakia by an institution with a valid certificate of eligibility to carry out research and development, which is not a business company&nbsp;and it has it seat in Slovakia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duration of a scholarship stay (university teachers, researchers or artists): 1 \u2013 10 months.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>Scholarship applications are submitted online at&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.scholarships.sk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.scholarships.sk<\/a>.&nbsp;Online application system is opened at least 6 weeks prior to the application deadline.&nbsp;Applications can be filled in only in case that the online application system has already been opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: October 31, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scholarships.sk\/en\/main\/programme-terms-and-conditions\/foreign-applicants\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the Official Website for Further Details<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About The Government of the Slovak Republic currently offers\u00a0National\u00a0Scholarships Program for international students\u00a0for the support of mobility of students, PhD<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":2406,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[47],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-15419","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-scholarship"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
