{"id":15585,"date":"2023-10-13T14:49:15","date_gmt":"2023-10-13T14:49:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=15585"},"modified":"2023-10-13T14:49:20","modified_gmt":"2023-10-13T14:49:20","slug":"twas-unesco-associateship-scheme-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/twas-unesco-associateship-scheme-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"TWAS-UNESCO Associateship Scheme 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The World Academy of Science (TWAS) in collaboration with UNESCO and a number of centres of excellence in the South is inviting application from suitably qualified researchers for the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/twas-unesco-associateship-scheme-2024\/\"><strong>TWAS-UNESCO Associateship Scheme 2024<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Associateship Scheme is to help counteract the brain drain affecting many developing countries and to support regular visits by researchers from developing countries to centers of excellence in the South.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Company\/Organisation(s):&nbsp;<\/strong>TWAS and UNESCO<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Program Type:&nbsp;<\/strong>Associateship scheme<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Program Location<\/strong>: Several<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Available Slot:&nbsp;<\/strong>Several<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Basic Qualifications<\/strong>: Ph.D.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nationality<\/strong>: Developing countries<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must be holders of a PhD or equivalent degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must have obtained their degrees in the field of natural sciences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate excellent academic and research abilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>Interested applicants for the TWAS-UNESCO Associateship Program are to complete and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/onlineforms.twas.org\/apply\/229\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online application<\/a>&nbsp;and provide the following supporting documents:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scanned copy of the applicant\u2019s passport, even if expired (page with applicant\u2019s name and surname);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting Statement from Head of Home Institution;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicant\u2019s curriculum vitae (no more than 4 pages);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant\u2019s full list of publications;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PhD certificate;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two letters of recommendation by two referees, one of whom should be from an expert from another country;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A recent invitation letter \u2013 on the host institution\u2019s letterhead paper \u2013 from one of the Institutions listed in the files available here. It should contain the proposed time of the visits (two to three months for each visit) and should refer to the proposed cooperation.
