This initiative recognizes the important role of industrial training programs in providing practical experience for applying knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The YIB program will showcase and reward innovative projects built by young Nigerians that align with the Ministry\u2019s objectives to grow the digital economy. The top 48 projects in each state and the FCT will receive laptops while the next best 40 will receive tablets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These 3,256 devices (48 Laptops and 40 Tablets per state of the federation and the FCT) that will be presented, come from an existing allocation by the NCC for learners in tertiary institutions to support the learning and application of technology in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Young Innovative Builders program will recognize students across the country in tertiary institutions who have gone through an Industrial training Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative recognizes the important role of industrial training programs in providing practical experience for the application of knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Enrollment Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You must be a student in a Nigerian Tertiary Institution enrolled in your first degree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You should have designed, developed, built or deployed an innovative or tech-enabled project\/product that leverages digital technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You must still be a student 3 months after the competition\u2019s end date (December 22nd, 2023)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must have gone through an Industrial training program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The project should address real-world problems in society<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications will be reviewed by a diverse selection committee. The selection criteria will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Novelty and Originality:<\/strong>&nbsp;How innovative and unique is the project relative to existing alternatives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Impact and Relevance:<\/strong>&nbsp;Does the project address real-world problems in the local communities or country<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Feasibility and scalability:<\/strong>&nbsp;What is the practicality of the project and the potential for it to be deployed at scale<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Quality of presentation and documentation:&nbsp;<\/strong>What is the quality of the presentation in describing the process of creating the solution and the aesthetics of the final
