{"id":17612,"date":"2023-12-20T16:13:42","date_gmt":"2023-12-20T16:13:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=17612"},"modified":"2023-12-20T16:13:46","modified_gmt":"2023-12-20T16:13:46","slug":"federal-government-of-nigeria-scholarship-awards-2024-2025-to-study-abroad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/federal-government-of-nigeria-scholarship-awards-2024-2025-to-study-abroad\/","title":{"rendered":"Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship Awards 2024\/2025 to Study Abroad"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Applications are currently being received for the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/studygreen.info\/federal-government-of-nigeria-scholarship-awards-2024-2025-to-study-abroad\/\"><strong>2024\/2025 Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship Awards<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0open to interested Nigerian students wishing to study abroad in selected study destinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal Government Scholarship Awards through\u00a0Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) for Undergraduate (UG) studies tenable in\u00a0Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt and Algeria;\u00a0and Postgraduate (PG) studies tenable in Russia (for those whose first degrees were obtained from Russia), China, Hungary, Serbia, Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong>:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to be eligible for the Federal Government Scholarship Awards for Nigerian to Study Abroad, applicants must fulfil the requirements listed (below):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>For Undergraduate Scholarships<\/strong><strong>:&nbsp;<\/strong>All applicants for undergraduate degree courses must possess a minimum qualification of&nbsp;Seven (7) Distinctions (As &amp; Bs)&nbsp;in the Senior Secondary School Certificates,&nbsp;WASSCE\/WAEC&nbsp;(May\/June) only in the subjects relevant to their fields of study including&nbsp;English Language and Mathematics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Certificates should not be more than two (2) years old&nbsp;(2022 &amp; 2023)&nbsp;for Non-African Countries and&nbsp;<em>for African countries the age of certificate is one year (2023) only<\/em>.&nbsp;Age limit is from 17 to 20 years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Postgraduate Scholarships<\/strong><strong>:&nbsp;<\/strong>All applicants for Postgraduate degree courses must hold a&nbsp;First Degree with 1st Class or at least 2<sup>nd<\/sup>Class Upper Division.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All applicants must have completed N.Y.S.C. Programme and the age limit is&nbsp;35 years&nbsp;for Masters and&nbsp;40 years&nbsp;for Ph.D.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Y.S.C discharge or exemption certificates only are&nbsp;accepted; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evidence of readiness to be released by an employer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>FIELDS OF STUDY<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Undergraduate level \u2013 Engineering, Geology, Agriculture, Sciences, Mathematics,&nbsp;Environmental Sciences, Sports, Law, Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Architecture, Medicine (very limited), Pilot Engineering, Neurologist and,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Postgraduate level (Masters Degree and PhD) in all fields.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Procedures<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How-to-Apply:&nbsp;<\/strong>All qualified candidates are advised to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visit Federal Ministry of Education\u2019s website&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.education.gov.ng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">education.gov.ng&nbsp;<\/a>and click on Federal Scholarship Board ICON on the Home Page:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Read Guidelines and then Complete the Application Form online<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Print the completed Application Form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates nominated by the Board will be required to submit to Federal Scholarship Board the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Authenticated copies of academic certificates;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data page of the current International passport;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Specified Medical Reports from Government hospitals;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Birth Certificate &amp; Indigene letter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Police Clearance Certificate where necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: January 05, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/fsbn.com.ng\/scholarships\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the Official Website for Further Details<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Applications are currently being received for the\u00a02024\/2025 Federal Government of Nigeria Scholarship Awards\u00a0open to interested Nigerian students wishing to study<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":2133,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[47],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-17612","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-scholarship"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
