In collaboration with&nbsp;<strong>Enel Green Power (EGP)<\/strong>, &nbsp;<strong>Energias De Portugal (EDP),<\/strong>&nbsp;the&nbsp;<strong>Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>South African Institute of Chartered Accounts Enterprise Development (SAICA ED)<\/strong>, RES4Africa aims to empower&nbsp;<strong>young<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>talents, innovators, and entrepreneurs<\/strong>&nbsp;to contribute to a thriving and sustainable future for Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RAISEAfrica is a comprehensive initiative that includes both pre-acceleration and acceleration programs, specifically designed for the renewable energy sector in Africa. The initiative is set to support and scale up renewable energy-focused projects within the African startup ecosystem by providing opportunities and a platform for young innovators to voice their ideas. The focus areas include but are not limited to Productive Uses of Energy, Water-Energy-Food Nexus, Circular Economy, Manufacturing, and Digitalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Pre-Accelerator<\/strong>\u00a0is designed for\u00a0<strong>aspiring entrepreneurs<\/strong>\u00a0in the early stages of developing a business idea, while the\u00a0<strong>Accelerator<\/strong>\u00a0targets\u00a0<strong>entrepreneurs seeking market validation and business expansion<\/strong>. Young innovators are invited to submit their concrete and creative ideas, drawing from existing experiences or ongoing projects. RAISEAfrica will choose a\u00a0<strong>minimum of three businesses to receive awards in the form of services, encompassing mentoring &amp; coaching, networking, visibility, fundraising, and various other activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be considered for the pre-accelerator and accelerator programs, applicants must meet the following benchmarks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pre-Accelerator:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 35;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Startups not registered can apply;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solution addressing the African market;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ownership: Either the entrepreneur must possess African country citizenship or the startup must be registered in Africa;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operation in the renewable energy sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Accelerator:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Entrepreneurs aged between 18 and 35;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solution addressing the African market;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ownership: Either the entrepreneur must possess African country citizenship or the startup must be registered in Africa;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Product\/service at least at the MVP stage;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operation in the renewable energy sector.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must complete the online\u00a0<strong>standard application forms<\/strong>, providing essential details and supporting documents in\u00a0<strong>English<\/strong>. Applications will undergo an administrative check and evaluation by a Selection Committee composed of the initiative representatives. Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated on various criteria, including communication effectiveness and public speaking skills.\u00a0<strong>The<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>deadline for submitting applications is February 29th, 2024<\/strong>.
