All eligible applications will be reviewed by a selection panel and shortlisted. Shortlisted applicants will then be interviewed before a final selection is made and an invitation to join the program is issued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selection panels will use the following criteria to evaluate applications:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Demonstrated leadership in public service, business and entrepreneurship, or civic engagement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Active engagement in public or community service, volunteerism, or mentorship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ability to work cooperatively in diverse groups and respect the opinions of others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong social and communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An energetic, positive attitude.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A demonstrated knowledge, interest, and professional experience in the sector\/track selected, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A commitment to apply leadership skills and training to benefit your country and\/or community after the program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Applicants will not be discriminated against on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, gender, religion, socio-economic status, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa targets young men and women between the ages of 18 and 35 from Togo, Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, The Gambia, Burkina Faso, Liberia, Cameroon, and Sierra Leone who are ready to embrace leadership and work hard to transform their countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Selection Process and Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The selection process for participation in the YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa will be merit-based and transparent. A selection panel will assess all qualified applications.
