The scholarship also supports attendance of the AIDS 2024 pre-conferences, which take place on 20 and 21 July in the conference venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The following candidates will be given priority:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Abstract presenters; workshop facilitators and co-facilitators; and Global Village organizers and co-organizers whose submission has been selected for the conference<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants from low-income and middle-income countries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants who are part of key populations or&nbsp;people living with HIV<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Young people and junior investigators below the age of 35<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants who did not previously receive a scholarship for an International AIDS Conference<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>In-person attendance:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Registration&nbsp;<\/strong>for in-person plus virtual attendance (access to all sessions at the conference venue, as well as access to the virtual platform)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Travel support&nbsp;<\/strong>(pre-paid economy class return ticket from the nearest international airport in your country of residence) for the dates of the conference and pre-conferences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accommodation&nbsp;<\/strong>(single room in a budget hotel), for the duration of the conference and pre-conferences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Daily living allowance&nbsp;<\/strong>for the duration of the conference and pre-conferences<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Virtual attendance:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Registration<\/strong>&nbsp;for virtual attendance (full online access to all hybrid conference sessions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accessibility support<\/strong>&nbsp;for virtual attendance (subject to the connectivity needs of selected candidates)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Timeline:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>23 January 2024:<\/strong>&nbsp;Submissions close<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>February\/March 2024:<\/strong>&nbsp;Review and selection<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Early April 2024:<\/strong>&nbsp;Announcement of results<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply, eligible candidates will have to answer questions about their background, experience and motivation to attend the conference.
