{"id":18518,"date":"2024-02-02T11:21:46","date_gmt":"2024-02-02T11:21:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=18518"},"modified":"2024-02-02T11:21:50","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T11:21:50","slug":"si-scholarship-for-global-professionals-2024-2025fully-funded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/si-scholarship-for-global-professionals-2024-2025fully-funded\/","title":{"rendered":"SI Scholarship for Global Professionals 2024\/2025(Fully Funded)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The SI Scholarship for Global Professionals is an academic scholarship provided for full-time, one- or two-year, master\u2019s studies in Sweden.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship covers a wide range of study fields and over 700 of the 1000 English-taught master\u2019s programmes in Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through the scholarship, the Swedish Institute (SI) aim to develop a network of future global leaders that will contribute to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and drive the development of their home countries forward.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship is open for applications once every year, for master\u2019s studies beginning in the autumn semester. In order to apply you must:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a citizen of one of the 41 countries that is eligible for the SI Scholarship for Global Professionals;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply for a master\u2019s programme that is eligible for the SI scholarship;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be liable to pay tuition fees at University Admissions;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have demonstrated work experience;&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have demonstrated leadership experience from current or previous employer, or from civil society engagement.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key dates:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>16 October \u2013 15 January: Apply to Swedish master\u2019s programmes through University Admissions.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>November: SI Scholarship application documents are published.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>12 \u2013 28 February: Application portal for the SI Scholarship is open.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>21 March \u2013 University admissions announcement day.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>25 April: SI Scholarship announcement day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our call for application is published below. We\u00a0advise\u00a0that you\u00a0read through\u00a0the instructions and the criteria carefully and start preparing your application. The application portal will be open between the 12 and 28 February 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What&#8217;s included<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Scholarship&nbsp;for Global Professionals&nbsp;is a competitive&nbsp;fully-funded&nbsp;scholarship that includes:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Full tuition fee coverage.<\/strong>&nbsp;The fee is paid directly by SI to your Swedish university in the beginning of each semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A monthly payment of SEK 12,000<\/strong>&nbsp;to cover your living expenses throughout the study period.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kammarkollegiet.se\/engelska\/start\/all-services\/insurance-for-foreign-visitors\"><strong>Insurance against illness and accident<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A travel grant of SEK 15,000&nbsp;<\/strong><em>(*10,000 for scholars from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine)<\/em>. This is a one-time payment and does not apply for students already living in Sweden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Membership in&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/si.se\/en\/how-we-work\/build-relations-and-networks\/si-network-for-global-professionals\/\">SI Network for Future Global Professionals<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;(NFGP) \u2013 a platform to help you grow professionally and build a network while in Sweden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>After your scholarship period has ended<\/strong>, you become a member of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/si.se\/en\/si-alumni-network\/\">the SI Alumni Network<\/a>. As a member, you get a unique opportunity for continued networking and professional development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Country of citizenship<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must be a citizen of a country that is eligible for the SI scholarship. However, you do not need to reside in the country at the time of the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Master&#8217;s programmes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The master&#8217;s programmes you apply for must be eligible for the SI scholarship. Over 750+ English-taught master&#8217;s programmes are eligible. Find them in the list below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>University admission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must be liable to pay tuition fees to Swedish universities, have followed the steps of University Admissions and be admitted to one of the eligible master&#8217;s programmes by 30 of March 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Previous experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You must have demonstrated work experience (conditions apply to certain regions).
