This program identifies and rewards young talented researchers in the formal sciences, life and environmental sciences, material sciences, engineering sciences and technological sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a PhD student or have obtained a Ph.D in the following scientific fields: Life and Environmental sciences, Physical sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer and information sciences (2nd year at least).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be from one of the 48 countries in the sub-Saharan African region, and work in a research laboratory or institution in one of the countries of the region, or be enrolled in a University in one of the 49 countries of the region (including South Africa).<strong>OR<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be from one of the 49 countries in the sub-Saharan African region (including South Africa) and work in a research laboratory or institution in one of the 48 countries of the region, or be enrolled in a University in one of the 48 countries of sub-Saharan Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Therefore, applicants originally from South Africa doing their research in South Africa are not eligible for this programme.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Collaborative Actions of Young Talents<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The researchers commit to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Continue the research work for which the Young Talent Sub-saharan African L\u2019Or\u00e9alUNESCO For Women in Science Award was obtained.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carry out the expenses detailed in the estimated budget of the application file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Write a report on the research work, subject of the endowment, to be submitted to the L\u2019Or\u00e9al Foundation in the year following the awarding of the Prize.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in the \u201cManagement and Leadership\u201d training as well as in the award ceremony to be held in an African capital, probably in November 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participation in these events is mandatory, transportation and accommodation costs for beneficiaries from all countries represented will be covered by the L\u2019Or\u00e9al Foundation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For More Information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.forwomeninscience.com\/challenge\/show\/92\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the Official Webpage of the L\u2019Or\u00e9al-UNESCO Sub-Saharan Africa Young Talents Programme<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline: \u00a015 March 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The L\u2019Or\u00e9al-UNESCO For Women in Science sub-Saharan Africa regional program\u00a0aims to promote and encourage the participation of young African women<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":19206,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[49],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-19205","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-education"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
