{"id":19620,"date":"2024-03-12T14:56:18","date_gmt":"2024-03-12T14:56:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=19620"},"modified":"2024-03-12T14:56:20","modified_gmt":"2024-03-12T14:56:20","slug":"village-capital-greentech-africa-investment-readiness-accelerator-2024-for-diverse-led-startups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/village-capital-greentech-africa-investment-readiness-accelerator-2024-for-diverse-led-startups\/","title":{"rendered":"Village Capital Greentech Africa Investment-Readiness Accelerator 2024 for diverse-led startups"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Village Capital Greentech investment-readiness accelerator<\/strong>&nbsp;is designed to advance innovative and sustainable solutions, actively contributing towards building resilience and mitigating the effects of climate change across Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greentech 2024: The Future of Sustainability is an investment-readiness accelerator designed to advance innovative and sustainable solutions, actively contributing towards building resilience and mitigating the effects of climate change.\u00a0 Supported by Moody\u2019s Foundation, the Africa program will prioritize diverse-led startups and\/or startups from Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa, that promote sustainable solutions for underestimated communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be a for-profit entity with legal incorporation and operations in at least one of these African countries: Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a market-based tech solution that tackles the above-listed challenges in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, and South Africa.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be in compliance with local fiscal and business law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have at least a minimum viable product (MVP), some traction under their belt, and raised less than USD 1M in equity.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have meaningful customer or business validation (not limited to revenue, it can also be successful pilot studies, number of users, and\/or strategic partnerships).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have at least one full-time founder based in Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, or South Africa.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Startups<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cleantech and Climate Tech<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agtech and Food Security<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Circular and Regenerative Economy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Natural Resource Management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Water, Sanitation, and Health<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Benefits<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Continued learning<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Join interactive sessions tailored to help your startup identify early milestones and prepare for your next round of capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mentorship<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Opportunity to meet with and receive mentorship from prominent investors, potential strategic partners, customers, business leaders, and other founders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financial Advice<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to an investment analyst who will coach you one-on-one on building a financial model, identifying unit economics, and using financial metrics to drive both business and investor diligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Exposure<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Exposure to Village Capital\u2019s program website and other communications collateral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Connections<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Build deep connections with other founders in your cohort and the larger Village Capital investor and alumni network.
