{"id":19864,"date":"2024-03-19T15:15:07","date_gmt":"2024-03-19T15:15:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=19864"},"modified":"2024-03-19T15:15:12","modified_gmt":"2024-03-19T15:15:12","slug":"australian-government-rtp-scholarship-research-training-program-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/australian-government-rtp-scholarship-research-training-program-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Australian Government RTP Scholarship (Research Training Program) 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Australian Government RTP Scholarships annually provide funding to support both domestic and overseas students undertaking research doctorate and research masters degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If selected for the award, your will receive full funding that will cover the cost of your tuition, and a stipend of $50,291 every year till the end of your program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) provides block grants to higher education providers (HEPs) to support both domestic and overseas students undertaking research doctorate and research masters degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Funding is provided on a calendar year basis for programs known as higher degrees by research (HDRs).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The objectives of the RTP are to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>provide flexible funding arrangements to support training domestic students and overseas students undertaking HDRs at Australian HEPs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>deliver graduates with the skills required to build careers in academia and other sectors of the labour market<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support collaboration between HEPs and industry and other research\u00a0end-users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a domestic or an international student<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold a bachelor\u2019s degree from a recognized university<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet the requirements for Masters by Research or Doctoral degree at your chosen university<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>tuition fees offset<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a stipend for general living costs worth $50,291<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>allowances related to the ancillary cost of HDRs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The RTP base and maximum stipend rates are indexed each year, effective from 1 January.
