We embrace values of peace, diversity, inclusion, and meaningful participation. At UNOY, young people have the opportunity to gain work experience in the field of peacebuilding, join an international team, develop new skills, and connect with young people and organisations around the world. All interns are supported by a supervisor in identifying their personal learning goals, training opportunities, and<br>monitoring progress throughout the internship.<br>As the Communications Officer, you will work with direct supervision from the Communications Lead. Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Content Production<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ongoing creation and management of creative, visual content for the UNOYwebsite and social media channels;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identifying and commissioning compelling written pieces for the UNOY blog;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating and disseminating a monthly newsletter to UNOY members;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Creating and disseminating a biannual external newsletter to donors and partners;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Strategic Development<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Supporting the evaluation of UNOY\u2019s first organisation-wide communications<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>strategy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting the creation and implementation of a new social media strategy;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting in finalising the web migration process, and supporting web development and restructuring;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Advocacy and Outreach<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitoring YPS developments and liaising with UNOY\u2019s Advocacy Coordinator<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>and Officer to align communications;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting better alignment of UNOY\u2019s fundraising and communications;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supporting communications with external partners for collaborative projects,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>missions, and events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>We are looking for somebody who has:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience or a strong interest in peacebuilding, youth work, and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>communications;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills (in English); other languages are<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an asset!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some experience in graphic design and video editing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some experience in online communications and social media platforms;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarity with WordPress, Zoho and\/or Canva (desirable);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Planning, organisational, and intercultural communication skills;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enthusiasm, creativity, and a problem-solving mindset;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexibility and capacity to work independently, as well as in a team;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A higher education degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) on a topic related toyouth, peace, conflict or international relations.
