Creative startup categories<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proven demand for product and\/or service through strong customer base and\/or revenue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrable impact and\/or relevancy to the broader African continent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>WIN PRIZES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1st Place<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>$50,000 in cash&nbsp;accompanied by $50,000 in categories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Live Event Experience and Ticketing<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transforming or enhancing live events through improved ticketing, entry, or in-arena or in-stadium experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Digital Fan Platforms and Connectivity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Creating new, innovative ways to collect fan data, translate data into targeted offerings for fans, and create digital hubs for fans to connect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AI for Consumers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Designing new products for fans that leverage AI, such as dubbing content in local languages, creating an NBA chatbot, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Investing in Youth<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Creating tools to promote life skills, positive habits, and other programs for a highly digitally \u2013 connected African youth population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other Sports and Creative Startups<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Innovating and disrupting any sector within the sports, entertainment and creative industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STEP 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Written Application<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline 22 May 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Founders must complete the online application (roughly 60 mins to complete).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage applying as early as possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STEP 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One-way Video Interview<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline 31 May 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a0Selected startups will be invited to participate in a one-way video interview.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Video submissions should be no longer than 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STEP 3<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selection Process<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6 June 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Judges will evaluate each submission and select the top startups to participate in the program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All applicants will be informed of their application status on 6 June.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STEP 4<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mentorship<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June \u2013 August 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The accelerator program will include mentorship, workshops, and pitch practice in preparation for Demo Day in September<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The required time commitment will be 4 hours per week, not including Demo Day<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>STEP 5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Demo Day<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>September 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participating startups will get the opportunity to pitch to
