{"id":21181,"date":"2024-05-08T11:16:07","date_gmt":"2024-05-08T11:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=21181"},"modified":"2024-05-08T11:16:12","modified_gmt":"2024-05-08T11:16:12","slug":"2024-asian-development-bank-scholarship-adb-jsp-fully-funded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/2024-asian-development-bank-scholarship-adb-jsp-fully-funded\/","title":{"rendered":"2024 Asian Development Bank Scholarship (ADB-JSP) | Fully Funded)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Asian Development Bank Scholarship Program offers graduate scholarships for studies in economics, business and management, science and technology, and other development-related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ADB-Japan Scholarship Program (JSP) offers about 135 graduate scholarships a year for studies in economics, business and management, science and technology, and other development-related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Asian Development Bank \u2013Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) was established in April 1988 with financing from the Government of Japan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It aims to provide an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB\u2019s developing members to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, business and management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at 29 educational institutions in 10 countries in Asia and the Pacific.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upon completion of their study programs, scholars are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be a national of an ADB borrowing member country and Japanese ODA scholarship-eligible country<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>not hold dual citizenship of any developed country;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have gained admission to an approved master\u2019s course at a Designated Institution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hold a bachelor\u2019s degree or its equivalent with superior academic record;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have at least two (2) years of full-time professional working experience (acquired after a university degree) at the time of application. The candidate must have proficiency in oral and written English communication skills to be able to pursue studies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>not be more than 35 years old at the time of application, unless waived in exceptional cases with the expressed endorsement of the Government of Japan;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be in good health;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>agree to return and work in his\/her home country for at least two (2) years after completion of studies under the Program in order to contribute to its development;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>not be an Executive Directors, Alternate Directors, management, staff and consultants of ADB, or the close relatives of the aforementioned by blood or adoption with the term \u201cclose relative\u201d defined as: spouse, mother, stepmother, father, stepfather, sister, stepsister, brother, stepbrother, son, daughter, aunt, uncle, niece, or nephew;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>not be staff of ADB\u2013JSP Designated Institutions;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>not be living or working in a country other than his\/her home country; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>not be already enrolled in graduate degree programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration and Reward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>full tuition fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>monthly subsistence allowance (including housing)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>books and instructional materials<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>medical insurance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>travel expenses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For scholars engaged in research, a special grant may be available for thesis preparation.
