{"id":21402,"date":"2024-05-17T14:45:42","date_gmt":"2024-05-17T14:45:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=21402"},"modified":"2024-05-17T14:45:47","modified_gmt":"2024-05-17T14:45:47","slug":"daad-prime-fellowship-program-2024-fully-funded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/daad-prime-fellowship-program-2024-fully-funded\/","title":{"rendered":"DAAD PRIME Fellowship Program 2024 (Fully Funded)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The German Academic Exchange Service is calling on interested applicants to the 2024 DAAD PRIME Fellowship Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>DAAD PRIME Fellowship funds the international mobility of postdoctoral researchers with temporary positions at German universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) provides the funds for this program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The grant also includes a mandatory return phase for reintegration into the German science system. The programme aims to provide participants with an important qualification for a continued career in science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility\u00a0Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants with above-average qualifications from all faculties may apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants can be from any nationality<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants must accept that the research stay abroad and the return phase to Germany are both mandatory parts of the programme.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To be considered for funding, applicants living abroad are expected to state their intent to continue their research careers in Germany upon completion of the return phase.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants who already have a permanent employment contract with the prospective host institution for the intended research activity are not eligible for funding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may apply up to six years after the (first) doctorate.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They must have completed their doctorate with excellent results before the start of funding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The DAAD will conclude a grant agreement with the respective German university covering the costs for the regular salary and the monthly expatriate allowance.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Salary: temporary 18-month employment contract at a German university according to pay scale TV-L EG 13\u00a0<strong>(\u20ac70,000 \u2013 80,000).<\/strong>\u00a0Your exact pay is determined by the universities based on your previous work experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Expatriate allowance: A monthly expatriate allowance for the research stay abroad is based on an area classification of the destination and the gross income of the fellows.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Travel allowance: PRIME Fellows receive the DAAD lump sum travel subsidy for postdoctoral scientists.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spouses and children are also eligible if they accompany the fellow for at least one month during the research stay abroad. The travel allowance is paid directly by DAAD.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DAAD provides funding for an 18-month employment contract at a German university to conduct a 12-month research stay abroad with a 6-month subsequent return phase to Germany.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During your 12 months abroad, you may combine stays at several research institutions in one or several countries.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Required Documents<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Application Form\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intelregion.com\/jobs\/support\/how-to-compose-an-europass-cv\/\">EU standard Curriculum vitae<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Binding declaration from the German host university (form)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invitation letter from the German host<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Time schedule for the realization of the planned work abroad and in Germany<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A detailed and independently prepared research proposal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>One confidential letter of recommendation from a university professor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Short summary\/abstract of the research project<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your career plan (one-page max.)
