{"id":21632,"date":"2024-05-28T16:06:24","date_gmt":"2024-05-28T16:06:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=21632"},"modified":"2024-05-28T16:07:09","modified_gmt":"2024-05-28T16:07:09","slug":"government-of-poland-banach-scholarship-programme-2024-for-developing-countries-funded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/government-of-poland-banach-scholarship-programme-2024-for-developing-countries-funded\/","title":{"rendered":"Government of Poland Banach Scholarship Programme 2024 for Developing Countries (Funded)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The objective of the Programme is to promote socio-economic progress of developing countries by raising the level of knowledge and education of their citizens in the form of scholarships for second-degree studies in Polish or in English at Polish universities supervised by the Minister of Education and Science in the field of&nbsp;engineering and technical sciences,&nbsp;agricultural sciences,&nbsp;exact sciences, and&nbsp;life sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NAWA scholarship may be applied for by citizens of the following countries: Albania,<strong>\u00a0Angola<\/strong>, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Colombia,<strong>\u00a0Ethiopia,\u00a0<\/strong>Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan,\u00a0<strong>Kenya<\/strong>, Kosovo, Lebanon, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro,<strong>\u00a0Nigeria,\u00a0<\/strong>North Macedonia, Palestine, Peru, the Philippines,\u00a0<strong>Senegal,\u00a0<\/strong>Serbia,<strong>\u00a0South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia,<\/strong>\u00a0Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Engineering and technical sciences<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>agricultural sciences<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>exact sciences<\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong>life sciences<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It shall not be possible to participate in the Programme within other fields of science.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>do not have Polish citizenship and have not applied for Polish citizenship;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are planning to start second-cycle studies or a\u00a0preparatory course in the academic year 2022\/23;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>at the time of submitting the application to the Programme are students of the last year of first-cycle studies in the field of engineering and technical sciences, agricultural sciences as well as exact and natural sciences, or have a\u00a0first-cycle studies diploma in the above-mentioned fields obtained in a\u00a0country covered by the Programme not earlier than in 2020. For candidates from Europe, Central Asia and the South Caucasus, first-cycle studies diplomas obtained in the field of social sciences and humanities shall also be allowed;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have not obtained a\u00a0diploma of completion of second-cycle studies or long-cycle \u00a0master\u2019s studies; If there is no system of two-cycle studies commonly applied in the candidate\u2019s country of origin, candidates with a\u00a0diploma of master\u2019s studies or equivalent shall be admitted;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a\u00a0documented knowledge of the<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Polish language:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>minimum at the A2 level in case if applicant is planning firstly start the one-year preparatory course and after course continuing education at the second-cycle degree studies in Polish language;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>minimum at the B1 in case if applicant is planning to start the second-cycle studies in Polish language without one-year preparatory course;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English language minimum at the B2 level in case\u00a0if applicant is planning to start studies in English language.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>PLN 1700 per month during the preparatory course (the scholarship holder shall not have the status of a\u00a0student, which shall prevent him\/her from taking advantage of discounts applicable to students, e.g. in public transport);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>PLN 1,500 per month during second-cycle studies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in the first year of studies, the first monthly scholarship increased by PLN 500,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>in the last year of studies, the last monthly scholarship increased by PLN 500.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the event of a\u00a0documented fortuitous event, the NAWA Director may, upon a\u00a0written request of the Scholarship Holder, increase the scholarship by PLN 500 once.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Recommendation by a\u00a0diplomatic and consular mission, non-governmental organization or university = 40%<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The arithmetic average of grades for the first-cycle studies on the diploma of completion of the first-cycle studies or on the certificate confirming the arithmetic average of grades = 60%<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For More Information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/study.gov.pl\/scholarship-citizens-developing-countries\">Visit the Official Webpage of the Government of Poland Banach Scholarship Programme<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline: June 21st, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The objective of the Programme is to promote socio-economic progress of developing countries by raising the level of knowledge and<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":21634,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[47],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-21632","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-scholarship"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 -
