{"id":21814,"date":"2024-06-06T11:35:25","date_gmt":"2024-06-06T11:35:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=21814"},"modified":"2024-06-06T11:35:29","modified_gmt":"2024-06-06T11:35:29","slug":"call-for-applications-agri-food-development-program-2024-for-agri-food-companies-in-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/call-for-applications-agri-food-development-program-2024-for-agri-food-companies-in-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Applications: Agri-Food Development Program 2024 for Agri-food Companies in Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Africa Agri-Food Development Programme (AADP) provides grant funding for Irish and African agri-food businesses to explore market opportunities and develop partnerships in the agri-food sector in Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All applicants must be agri-food companies that have been registered\/incorporated in Ireland and\/or one of the 18 eligible African countries of implementation for at least 12 months prior to the AADP application period commencing;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>all proposed projects must be commercial in nature and focus and must contribute strongly to the sustainable development of the food system, including alignment where possible with relevant Sustainable Development Goals, within the African country(ies) selected;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the partners involved must have appropriate governance and financial management systems in place. Along with the relevant application form, all AADP applicants must provide:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 at least one year of audited accounts<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 company and tax information<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 an account of project-related \u201cflow of funds\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 any background contracts and Memoranda of Understanding<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 any further documentation found to be relevant and agreed with partners<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 the partners involved for \u2018full projects\u2019 must include at least 1 Irish registered agri-food company and 1 local commercial entity in Africa;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>all applicants for \u2018full projects\u2019 must be able to demonstrate that they have at least 3 years of experience within their team in the relevant agri-food sector and development context;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the application must clearly outline how these 2 distinct companies will enter an equitable and ethical partnership;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>if an applicant company proposes to undertake a feasibility study, it should include a list of any potential partners within the application;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Apply<\/strong>?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complete the official AADP application form, providing the required information and documentation, including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At least one year of audited accounts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Company and tax information<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Details on the project-related \u201cflow of funds\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Background contracts and Memoranda of Understanding<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Information on the partners involved (at least one Irish registered agri-food company and one local commercial entity in Africa for \u2018full projects\u2019)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A clear explanation of the project objectives and expected outcomes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application form<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The AADP opens for applications annually. Submissions will only be accepted through the official AADP application form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The application form for a full project or a feasibility study can be downloaded below. Please return the completed application form to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:aadp@dfa.ie\">aadp@dfa.ie<\/a>&nbsp;before the deadline (close of business, Friday, 5 July 2024).
