{"id":21887,"date":"2024-06-10T13:44:53","date_gmt":"2024-06-10T13:44:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=21887"},"modified":"2024-06-10T13:44:57","modified_gmt":"2024-06-10T13:44:57","slug":"2025-japan-government-mext-scholarship-university-of-tokyo-fully-funded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/2025-japan-government-mext-scholarship-university-of-tokyo-fully-funded\/","title":{"rendered":"2025 Japan Government MEXT Scholarship (University of Tokyo) | Fully Funded"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Applications for the University Recommended Japan Government MEXT Scholarship 2024\/2025 for International Students are now open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also known as Todai, the University of Tokyo is Japan\u2019s highest-ranked university and\u00a0has a plethora of programs available in English, mostly at graduate level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be International students with outstanding academic records<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have already graduated from your latest degree program should have a final grade point of 2.30 or higher, while current students should have a grade point of 2.30 or higher for your current courses, and both should be expected to maintain the same academic standards during the course of the scholarship program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>meet the English Language Proficiency criteria<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have the nationality of a country with diplomatic relations with the Japanese government.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be born on or after April 2, 1990.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>apply for the field of study that they studied at their previous university or a related field. Applicants should select a field that they are able to research at their chosen host university in Japan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be physically and mentally healthy enough to pursue their studies in Japan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a0in principle, be able to arrive in Japan by a date specified by the accepting university which in principle shall be within two weeks before or after the first day of the semester.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration and Reward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enrollment and Tuition fees will be exempted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Monthly Allowance: 144,000 yen\/month (for a student of a Master\u2019s Program), or 145,000 yen\/month (for a student of a Doctoral Program)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>an additional monthly stipend of 2,000 or 3,000 yen may be added to those students undertaking study or research in some designated regions of the country.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recipients awarded travel allowance will be provided, according to the itinerary and route designated for them by MEXT, with an economy class air ticket from the international airport closest to their place of residence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MEXT will issue airline tickets to recipients who return to their home country within the final month of the scholarship period<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For a recipient who will enroll in a Master\u2019s Program or Doctoral Program, the scholarship will be payable for the standard period of time necessary for the recipient to complete his or her program (standard course term), starting from October 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master\u2019s Program = October, 2025 \u2013 September, 2027 (2years)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Doctoral Program = October, 2025 \u2013 September, 2028 (3years)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Required Documents<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Application Form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Field of Study and Research Plan<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Letter of recommendation from<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An official transcript from the last university attended (at undergraduate or graduate level).\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you are currently enrolled in a university (at undergraduate or graduate level), please submit an official transcript of the last degree program (Bachelor\u2019s, Master\u2019s, or PhD) that you have graduate from, as well as an official transcript of your current degree program.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passport-type photo taken within the last 6 months (4.5 x 3.5 cm, upper-body, full-faced, without a cap)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proof of language ability certifying that one of the Language Proficiency<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Abstract of graduation thesis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Official statement of (expected) graduation of the last university attended.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A copy of the student\u2019s passport (The page with photo).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How To Apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp\/en\/admission\/scholarship.html\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline: October 31, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Applications for the University Recommended Japan Government MEXT Scholarship 2024\/2025 for International Students are now open.
