They also believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to pursue connections in the industry, network with peers, and a career path in technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help break down the barriers that prevent underrepresented groups in technology and business from attending leading conferences, we\u2019re excited to offer Google Conference Scholarships for selected conferences in the tech industry and related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scholarship eligibility varies by region, so please review the information on the region-specific tabs on the top. Scholarships will be awarded to the most qualified persons based on application review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Every applicant will be notified of their status according to the time frames specified for the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a full-time student enrolled with a recognized university in Africa who is in need of conference travel funds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a paper accepted at a top-tier computer science conference. We prefer to support conferences in research areas where Google has a strong interest. Please visit\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/research.google\/\">research.google.com<\/a>\u00a0for a list of areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be the sole or joint first author of the accepted paper.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration and Reward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Scholarship will cover the full expenses of travel and other expenses to attend and present a paper at the conference.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conference registration, one round trip travel to and from the conference site, hotel accommodation for the travel dates as communicated directly with accepted scholars, a $100 USD stipend for miscellaneous travel costs, and Google swag.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please refrain from making travel or hotel arrangements on your own, as this is not a part of the reimbursement package.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Required Documents<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Application Form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline: Not Specified<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Click&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/buildyourfuture.withgoogle.com\/scholarships\/google-conference-scholarships\">HERE<\/a>&nbsp;to Apply<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Google has announced the commencement applications for the 2024 Google Conference Scholarships for African students.
