{"id":2246,"date":"2022-06-01T11:13:06","date_gmt":"2022-06-01T11:13:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=2246"},"modified":"2022-06-01T11:13:09","modified_gmt":"2022-06-01T11:13:09","slug":"the-2022-2023-fishbowl-challenge-for-young-college-entrepreneurs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/the-2022-2023-fishbowl-challenge-for-young-college-entrepreneurs\/","title":{"rendered":"The 2022\/2023 Fishbowl Challenge for Young College Entrepreneurs."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Fishbowl Challenge brings together a select group of college students across the world to build tech-powered social ventures that address problems in Healthcare, Agriculture, Education Technology, Economic Empowerment, and Renewable Energy &amp; Sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For 6 months, teams from around the world compete to win up to $50,000 in seed funding, receiving guidance from industry-leading mentors and judges along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application period<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants complete and submit applications by July 10th, 2021. Recommenders submit recommendations by July 14th, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Round 1<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Teams begin the venture-building process by creating a business plan that addresses a social problem or market opportunity using technology and receive judge feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Round 2<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Teams test and refine their assumptions through iterative prototyping and customer research, before presenting to a judging panel via live video conferencing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Round 3<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Finalists develop a roadmap to market and post-program execution plans. Teams travel to a European city* to present the final version of their business plan in front of judges.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Venture launch!<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners receive up to $50,000 in prize money to bring their tech-powered social ventures to life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">THE GRAND PRIZE?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Up to $50,000 in seed funding awarded to the winning ventures!<\/strong><br>Winners will receive up to $50,000 in prize money to further develop their ideas. Access to subject matter experts, mentors, leading academics, and investors is also provided to help bring the winning visions to life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Education:\u00a0The Fishbowl Challenge is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students enrolled in a university\/college, and those who have accepted admission into a university\/college as of September 1, 2021.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Background:\u00a0Applicants from all around the world are welcome and encouraged to apply.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Language:\u00a0Applicants must be comfortable conversing in English, as it will serve as the primary language of communication during the competition.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Recommendation:\u00a0A recommendation will be required for each applicant.
