It also believes that everyone deserves the chance to pursue a tech career, make connections in the industry, and connect with peers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Google, we believe a diversity of attributes, experiences, and perspectives are needed to build tools that can change the world. We also believe that everyone deserves an opportunity to pursue connections in the industry, networking with peers, and a career path in technology. To help break down the barriers that prevent underrepresented groups in technology and business from attending leading conferences, we\u2019re excited to offer Google Conference Scholarships for selected conferences in the tech industry and related fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scholarship eligibility varies by region, so please review the information on the region-specific tabs on the top. Scholarships will be awarded to the most qualified persons based on application review. Every applicant will be notified of their status according to the time frames specified for the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\\The applicant must be a full-time student at a recognized African university who needs conference travel funds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The applicant must have a paper that has been accepted by a computer science conference that is top-tier. Google prefers to support conferences in research areas in which it has a strong interest.
