{"id":22758,"date":"2024-07-19T13:07:16","date_gmt":"2024-07-19T13:07:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=22758"},"modified":"2024-07-19T13:07:22","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T13:07:22","slug":"the-gates-scholarship-tgs-2025-fully-funded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/the-gates-scholarship-tgs-2025-fully-funded\/","title":{"rendered":"The Gates Scholarship (TGS) 2025 (Fully Funded)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, fully-funded scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each year, the scholarship is awarded to exceptional student leaders, covering tuition, fees, room, board, books, and transportation, and may include other personal costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>be a high school senior<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>plan to enroll full-time, in a four-year degree program, at a US accredited, not-for-profit, private or public college or university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) to retain the award\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be from at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian\/Alaska Native*, Asian &amp; Pacific Islander American, and\/or Hispanic American<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A US citizen, national, or permanent resident.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration and Reward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scholars will receive funding for the full cost of attendance that is not already covered by other financial aid and the expected family contribution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cost of attendance includes tuition, fees, room, board, books, and transportation, and may include other personal costs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>An ideal Candidate<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An outstanding academic record in high school (in the top 10% of his\/her graduating class)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated leadership ability (e.g., as shown through participation in community service, extracurricular, or other activities)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exceptional personal success skills (e.g., emotional maturity, motivation, perseverance, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How To Apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested applicants will be required to create a profile account with the scholarship and then file some necessary and mandatory questions on Profile and educational background, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will then be considered for this scholarship using the timeline below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Semi-Final Phase (Dec \u2013 Jan 2025)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Selection Phase (April 2025)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Awards (July-September 2025)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thegatesscholarship.org\/scholarship\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deadline: September 15, 2024<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, fully-funded scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households.
