{"id":23471,"date":"2024-08-20T13:54:22","date_gmt":"2024-08-20T13:54:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=23471"},"modified":"2024-08-20T13:54:25","modified_gmt":"2024-08-20T13:54:25","slug":"university-of-lausanne-unil-masters-grants-scholarships-2024-2025-for-study-in-switzerland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/university-of-lausanne-unil-masters-grants-scholarships-2024-2025-for-study-in-switzerland\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Lausanne (UNIL) Master\u2019s Grants Scholarships 2024\/2025 for Study in Switzerland."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Applications are now open for the<\/strong>&nbsp;2024\/2025&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.opportunitiesforafricans.com\/university-of-lausanne-unil-masters-grants-scholarships-2022-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">University of Lausanne (UNIL) Master\u2019s Grants Scholarships.<\/a>&nbsp;Masters Scholarships are&nbsp;<strong>scholarships for excellence awarded, exclusively to students who have graduated from a foreign university&nbsp;<\/strong>and whose academic results are of a very high level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNIL grants around ten scholarships a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship is granted for the minimum statutory period of the programme chosen by the student. It amounts to<strong>&nbsp;CHF 1,600 per month from 15 September to 15 July<\/strong>&nbsp;(or 10 months a year) for the complete duration of the masters (one and a half years or two years depending on the chosen masters), with the exception of cases of definitive failure after the first year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligible Programmes<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The list of all&nbsp;master\u2019s degrees&nbsp;at UNIL&nbsp;for which&nbsp;it is possible to apply,&nbsp;can be found at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/formations\/en\/home\/menuinst\/masters.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">this address<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It is&nbsp;however&nbsp;not possible to apply for the following&nbsp;master&nbsp;programmes<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master from the School of Medicine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master in Sciences and Practices of Education<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master of Law.\u00a0<strong>Exceptions: Open to applications for Masters Scholarships<\/strong>\u00a0: Specialisms \u201cInternational and Comparative Law\u201d,\u00a0\u201cLegal Theory\u201d and\u00a0\u201cInternational\u00a0Tax Law and Policy\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master of Science in Physical Education and Sport Didactics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master of Science in Health\u00a0Sciences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Master of Science in Sustainable Management &amp; Technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All MASs (3rd cycle programmes, Further Education programmes)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To have\u00a0obtained\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/immat\/en\/home\/menuinst\/futurs-etudiants\/master\/avec-un-bachelor-etranger.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a foreign university degree considered equivalent to a Swiss university bachelor<\/a>\u00a0before the beginning of the masters programme at UNIL.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To have distinguished yourself during your studies, especially through\u00a0<strong>particularly brilliant academic results<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To have a\u00a0<strong>language level of at least\u00a0C1\u00a0<\/strong>(according to the European Language Portfolio global scale) in French or at least C1 in\u00a0English\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/formations\/en\/home\/menuinst\/masters\/programmes-taught-in-english.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to the language in which your chosen master is taught.<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not\u00a0to be\u00a0registered\u00a0at\u00a0UNIL<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To have paid the<strong>\u00a0CHF 200.00\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Administrative\u00a0fee<\/strong><strong>s<\/strong>\u00a0(see document, \u201clist of documents for an application\u201d).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Withdrawal from the master programme will lead to the suspension of the scholarship.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Timeline:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1 November:<\/strong>\u00a0Application deadline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>November to December:\u00a0<\/strong>Processing of applications by SASME and the Admissions Office (SII)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>December to January:<\/strong>\u00a0The SASME informs candidates whose application is incomplete or has not been accepted by the\u00a0Admissions Office\u00a0that their application for the scholarship has been unsuccessful.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>January to February:<\/strong>\u00a0Complete applications are transferred to the faculties for consideration of their eligibility for the chosen master\u2019s degrees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>February to March:<\/strong>\u00a0The SASME informs candidates whose application has not been accepted by the faculty.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>March:<\/strong>\u00a0The\u00a0Selection\u00a0Board for\u00a0the\u00a0Masters\u00a0Scholarships selects the candidates who will be offered a\u00a0Masters\u00a0Scholarship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Early April:<\/strong>\u00a0Candidates are informed of the\u00a0Selection\u00a0Board\u2019s decision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NB:&nbsp;Decisions may not be appealed!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Application Process:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The application form for the Masters Scholarship also serves as an application for ADMISSION to the chosen Master\u2019s program (and hence as a matriculation form at UNIL):&nbsp;<strong>you therefore do not need to apply&nbsp;for the master\u2019s degree at the Admission Office (SII) of UNIL.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Candidates for the Masters Scholarship must\u00a0<strong>apply online<\/strong>\u00a0and upload their\u00a0<strong>complete application file in PDF<\/strong>\u00a0during the online application (refer to the document in the margin, \u201clist of documents for an application\u201d).\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Application files in PDF sent by email and incomplete application files will not be considered.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Additionally,\u00a0<\/strong>for candidates with a bachelor issued from a university<strong>\u00a0based<\/strong><strong>in a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.coe.int\/en\/web\/conventions\/full-list?module=signatures-by-treaty&amp;treatynum=165\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">State which did not ratify the Lisbon Recognition Convention<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>a certified copy of the university documents, certified by the university, in a sealed envelope of the university has to be sent\u00a0<strong>by postal mail<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Please consult the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unil.ch\/immat\/en\/home\/menuinst\/futurs-etudiants\/sinscrire\/master---contenu-dossier-dimmatriculation\/avec-un-bachelor-obtenu-dans-un-autre-etat.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">procedure to follow regarding the certified copies<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(see information in the blue box).<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>The sealed envelope with the certified copies of the university must be sent to the following address<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>within the deadline of November 1st (post mark),\u00a0<strong>but only if the online application was filled in and
