{"id":23805,"date":"2024-09-03T15:33:43","date_gmt":"2024-09-03T15:33:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=23805"},"modified":"2024-09-03T15:33:45","modified_gmt":"2024-09-03T15:33:45","slug":"2024-honjo-international-scholarship-in-japan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/2024-honjo-international-scholarship-in-japan\/","title":{"rendered":"2024 Honjo International Scholarship in Japan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The 2024 Honjo International Scholarship Foundation offers funding opportunities for international students willing to study in Japanese graduate institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Honjo International&nbsp; Foundation Scholarship will be offered as \u00a5230,000 per month throughout the minimum period required to acquire the degree.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Studying in Japan is actually relatively affordable, especially when compared with those in the US and the UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be an international student<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>be enrolled or currently applying for the academic course starting from April 2025 at a graduate school in Japan.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Those who are already enrolled and those who are not enrolled yet (including people who are currently employed with jobs at the time of applying for the program) are both eligible to apply for this scholarship if you are going to be enrolled in April 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a strong will to serve in their home country as a future career plan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a deep understanding of international friendship and goodwill, and must attend the events organized by the foundation and take part in the network as an alumni member<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>must be able to carry an everyday conversation in Japanese. Interviews (after submission) will be conducted in Japanese<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>must start the PhD course by the age of 35 and master\u2019s program by the age of 30 (No exception).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>must be enrolled in a programme longer than 12 months<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration and Reward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u00a5230,000 per month for 1 ~ 2 years degree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a5210,000 per month for 3 years degree<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00a5180,000 per month for 4 ~ 5 years of degree<br>* The payment period cannot be changed once it commenced.<br>* Those whose enrollment period is shorter than one year are not eligible to apply.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The travel grant to cover the expenses to attend an international conference will be provided to scholarship recipients, based on the scholarship provision rules.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Required Documents<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Academic transcript (In Japanese or English; please attach a translation in case of other<br>languages.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research Proposal: Use the designated template and write in Japanese language.
