{"id":23813,"date":"2024-09-03T16:00:28","date_gmt":"2024-09-03T16:00:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=23813"},"modified":"2024-09-03T16:00:30","modified_gmt":"2024-09-03T16:00:30","slug":"2025-schlumberger-foundation-fellowship-faculty-for-the-future-50000-annual-grant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/2025-schlumberger-foundation-fellowship-faculty-for-the-future-50000-annual-grant\/","title":{"rendered":"2025 Schlumberger Foundation Fellowship (Faculty For The Future) | $50,000 Annual Grant"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Schlumberger Foundation Faculty Fellowship focuses on developing and emerging countries where women are underrepresented in STEM disciplines.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Schlumberger Foundation Faculty For The Future Fellowship offers an annual grant of $50,000 per year to women from developing and emerging economies to pursue PhD or Post-doctoral research in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields at leading universities worldwide.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>are a female and are a citizen of a developing country or emerging economy where women are underrepresented in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines*.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are not eligible to apply if you hold dual citizenship of which one is citizenship of a developed country.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>(N.B. If you have been awarded a Faculty for the Future grant and after the award you obtain citizenship of a developed country, the grant will be discontinued as of the date of such additional citizenship);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are preparing for a PhD degree or post-doctoral research in a STEM discipline. The Faculty for the Future program does not fund Master level studies; \u2013 are enrolled, admitted or<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have applied to a host university\/research institute abroad (applications are no longer accepted where a candidate has not yet applied to a university).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hold an excellent academic record;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are willing to go back to your home country or region upon completion of your studies to contribute to its socio-economic development;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>have a proven record of teaching experience in your home country and can demonstrate your commitment to going back home to:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>i) an academic or research position in a STEM <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ii) and\/or to using your knowledge to become a STEM entrepreneur to help resolve regional challenges in your local community\/region;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>iii) and\/or to demonstrating leadership by contributing to the public sector using your scientific skills to help provide evidence-based support for STEM policy making, including topics of gender representation; SLB-Private<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>can demonstrate leadership skills, active community outreach and have a track record in encouraging girls and women into STEM.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you do not meet the above criteria, please do not apply for a grant, as your application will not be retained in the selection process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration and Reward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Schlumberger Foundation Faculty for the Future Fellowship 2025-2026 offers financial support to international students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It provides a maximum scholarship of USD 50,000 per year for PhD candidates and up to USD 40,000 per year for Post-doctoral researchers, with the possibility of renewal until the completion of their studies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Academic performance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quality of references;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quality of host country university;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Level of commitment to return to home country;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to teaching, STEM entrepreneurship or policy-making;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Relevance of research to home country;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to inspiring girls and women into STEM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How To Apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fftf.slb.com\/\">CLICK HERE TO APPLY<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Deadline:<\/strong> November 8, 2024<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Schlumberger Foundation Faculty Fellowship focuses on developing and emerging countries where women are underrepresented in STEM disciplines.&nbsp; The Schlumberger<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":23814,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"colormag_page_container_layout":"default_layout","colormag_page_sidebar_layout":"default_layout","footnotes":""},"categories":[41],"tags":[55,66,60,57,64],"class_list":["post-23813","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-fellowship","tag-education","tag-fellowship","tag-finance","tag-school-fees","tag-student"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
