{"id":24437,"date":"2024-09-27T13:52:32","date_gmt":"2024-09-27T13:52:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/?p=24437"},"modified":"2024-09-27T13:52:36","modified_gmt":"2024-09-27T13:52:36","slug":"2025-ashinaga-africa-initiative-scholarship-for-african-students-fully-funded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/presspay.ng\/news\/2025-ashinaga-africa-initiative-scholarship-for-african-students-fully-funded\/","title":{"rendered":"2025 Ashinaga Africa Initiative Scholarship For African Students (Fully Funded)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Ashinaga Africa Initiative Scholarships offers full scholarships to students from selected African countries to study for undergraduate degrees at the world\u2019s leading universities in countries such as Japan, US, UK, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scholarship provides full funding that covers tuition, accommodation, travel costs, and other necessary fees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Have lost one or both parents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have completed secondary school and received the results of their national secondary school examination (technical and vocational degrees not accepted) within the last two years (any date after 1st August 2022, including all of 2023 and 2024), or will have completed secondary school and received final exam results before February 9th, 2024.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be born after 1st September 2001.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Not have the means to attend university abroad without external financial support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be proficient in English, French, or Portuguese.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be\u00a0regularly ranked in the top 10% of their class during their last 2 or 3 years of secondary school.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to participate in the two Ashinaga preparatory programs, over the course of one year, before attending university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be committed to returning home, or to Sub-Saharan Africa, and contributing to society in Sub-Saharan Africa after graduating from university.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have no dependents who could interfere with academic progress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have a good enough health condition to be able to study abroad.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Duration and Reward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ashinaga (100-Year Vision) Scholarship provides a full scholarship that covers the cost of tuition, accommodation (during the terms and vacation), insurance, flight, and provides monthly stipend which covers food and necessary academic costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Required Documents:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A photo or scanned copy of at least one of the following documents: \u202fPassport, National ID Card or Birth Certificate\u00b7<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A copy of the death or disappearance certificate of the parent(s), or any alternative official document, bearing the name of the deceased, proving death or orphan status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A photo or scanned copy of the last school report\/transcript from your last year in high school (last quarter or semester, or the annual report).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A photo or scanned copy of the baccalaureate certificate or any other proof of completion of secondary studies (if applicable).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grades obtained at university to date, if applicable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How To Apply?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested and qualified applicants should apply using the link below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note that if you apply by post, all submitted documents will not be returned to you.
